Position Overview
This is a hands-on, tactical role focused on day-to-day execution within our eCommerce Platform (Shopify). The Ecommerce Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining a digital-product storefront, managing product setup and fulfillment, and continuously improving the purchase and delivery experience for customers.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable owning the details—configurations, workflows, testing, and optimization—while collaborating closely with editorial, product, marketing, and design partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a Shopify storefront for a la carte digital products, including ebooks and audiobooks
- Configure digital product fulfillment, including file hosting, downloads, access rules, and automated customer emails
- Set up and manage Shopify apps related to digital delivery, payments, taxes, analytics, and email marketing
- Create, upload, and manage digital products, including metadata, pricing, variants, and collections
- Build and optimize product pages, navigation, and checkout flows with a focus on usability and conversion
- QA and test storefront functionality across devices and browsers, including purchase, download, and post-purchase flows
- Implement promotional pricing, discount codes, bundles, and limited-time offers as needed
- Monitor ecommerce performance (sales, conversion rate, drop-off points) and make ongoing improvements
- Troubleshoot Shopify issues and coordinate fixes with internal teams or external vendors
- Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for ecommerce workflows and product launches
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Shopify storefronts
- Direct experience selling a la carte digital products (ebooks, audiobooks, PDFs, audio files, or similar)
- Strong familiarity with Shopify admin, themes, and app ecosystem
- Experience with digital product fulfillment tools and customer access management
- Solid understanding of ecommerce UX, QA processes, and conversion best practices
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks independently
- Ability to work cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, design, and product teams

LOCATION
