Our in-house team at Studio Obscura produces award-winning branded content and live experiences powered by the same creative vision and approach. 

We are looking for a Campaign Producer to join our growing Brand Partnerships team in bringing our best-in-class advertising campaigns to life.  In this role, you will be a pivotal player in producing compelling and effective branded content campaigns across a multitude of formats.  You will execute and manage the production of deliverables in video, audio, experiential, interactive, written, social media, and emerging formats.  This is a central role that oversees the day-to-day production of multiple branded campaigns and is integral in the department’s success, growth, and retention of business. RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive the creative and strategic execution of campaign production from start to finish ensuring all internal deadlines are delivered on time, within budget, and meet Atlas Obscura’s rigorous brand quality standards. 
  • Manage and lead all aspects of production on multiple projects concurrently, including sourcing of locations, vendors, talent, and contractors; overseeing timelines and budgets; running point on creative production; managing post production reviews internally and externally; driving interdepartmental production for successful campaign execution. 
  • Work directly with the Director of Production, Creative Directors, internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, talent, and production contractors.  Work with support of an Account Manager and Production Coordinator.  Work closely with team members on Pre-Sale Marketing, Sales, Product, Media, Ad Ops, Entertainment, Editorial, and Audience teams.
  • Be a creative storyteller with an expertise in content production skills across platforms.
  • Develop detailed content plans, budgets, treatments, creative briefs, shot lists, event recaps, and insightful wrap reports.
  • Deliver content programs that embody the spirit of Atlas Obscura’s brand and meet advertiser campaign objectives. Ensure our product offerings are delivered successfully and in compliance with timelines, budget, legal, insurance, and business requirements.  
  • Oversee production logistics including the sourcing of and outreach to production vendors and contractors, onboarding, initiation of production and vendor contracts, location clearances, permit filing, releasing, issuing COIs, and other business requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across video, audio, written, social, technology, media, and distribution to bring deliverables to life.
  • Work closely with Sales and Account Management to ensure client needs are met and updates are being communicated proactively. Represent Product Execution, provide production expertise, and lead communications during production calls and client pitch meetings.
  • Communicate effectively, set clear and realistic expectations, and be a strong negotiator in conversations with both clients and vendors. 
  • Mitigate issues and spearhead solutions to challenges if they arise.  
  • Proactively adjust timelines and budgets as the program evolves, effectively communicating updates to all campaign stakeholders.
  • Assist during the Pre-Sale phase to pitch ideas, price out budgets, create timelines, and act as an advisor to ensure the team is set up for success in pre-sale planning for post-sale execution 
  • Work in tandem with the Creative Development and Production teams to ensure the creative is executed as envisioned and in accordance with campaign specifications and requirements.
  • Provide insightful review of campaigns and products from a business development perspective to help identify areas for the company to grow and always unique approach in the marketplace
  • Travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in production execution experience at an agency, production company or publisher. 
  • Displays strategic and creative production expertise across a broad range of content types and products with strong skills in project management, production management, and operations.
  • Demonstrates a high level of self-motivation and self-direction with a strong ability to work well both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Detailed and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organized and strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask
  • Must be computer-savvy with skills in G-Suite and a familiarity with Airtable, Asana, and other project management software.  Prior experience with content management systems, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, and social media platforms is a plus.
